Gratitude

Just before wrapping up construction for the season, Kanerahtiio carved the face of a bear on the main pole over the western door. Next year he will carve a wolf for the eastern door, and mound the dirt around the foundation to form a turtle's back . These are the three clans of the Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) People.

The photos below are living memories of the process of raising the bones of the vision this past summer. Next year we will cover it with a wood & bark skin to make a place where we can continue to gather, sing and heal together.

Niawenkowa, a BIG thank you, to everyone, from the bottom of our hearts, for all your kindness, good energy, time and faith in this beautiful and hopeful vision at the Eastern Gate.

With much love and appreciation, The Waterfall Unity Alliance Family.
